Had a very strange feeling come over me at work yesterday. The owner of the hotel chain and all of corporate were in town. I observed carefully the dress, mannerism's, giggling, talking about their trip to Tahoe for a night of fun, with an all inclusive paid day and night out. In and out of meetings they secluded themselves from the foundation of employee's who bust their asses to make the hotel a success. I ran a successful business for over 2 decades in Glenbrook, Lake Tahoe before COVID killed my business. Never once in my lifetime did I feel I was better than another person who helped make me a success. The haughtiness and egotistical attitudes of those who don't appreciate the bottom line is disgusting to me. Without a foundation, there is no structure. Without a team, there is no game. Meanwhile, I was doing my best to keep the spirits high of the foundational workers of the hotel. The kitchen supervisor said, "Jo Ann, you make me laugh everyday and I look forward to your hugs"
