I don't even know where to begin to start to figure this out. I could use "Crypto for Dummies" book. Personally I prefer hard assets I can hold in my hand or at least touch. What's to stop "them" from just turning off access to the internet (access to your digital cypto) if they don't approve of your independent way of thinking?

There are to many options. I’ve rolled the dice and bought some XRP and a little Doge. It’s all sitting on Uphold. Now I’m trying to figure out what to do with it. Torn between a cold wallet (Ledger Nano X) and MetaMask. I have resources to buy a lot more, but it’s a bit scary.
I think a lot of us have been conditioned to believe the house always wins. Maybe that's not yet true with crypto markets, but it feels like it probably is.
My spouse got heavy into several coins over the past 4 years, but it's been a losing proposition so far.
Nevertheless, I took a leap and got some XRP, but that was an act of faith.
