True or False?

@Nous
The American Indians were exactly as Columbus writes, they were following the natural order of nature and knew God in spirit, which they often documented.

Their "brutality" was a learned event, from those who persecuted them, stole their land, cheated them in trade and openly abused their sensibilities. They had ever right to protect themselves as best as they were able.
Due to a lack of advanced technology, they were conquered.

I'm not sure this is true. Read 'The Orenda'. Some tribes were peaceful while others were prone to violence. There were wars among the tribes before settlers arrived.

That may be ... but they were primarily peaceful until threatened, imo

I highly recommend reading Joseph Boyden's trilogy on the first nation's people in Canada and their interaction with the first settlers. It gives a wonderful perspective into their culture. 'The Orenda' was the final book in the trilogy and was hard to read. Boyden's story is very interesting too.
