I read this somewhere and now I cant find it again...
They offered him a position on the board in which, if he would have accepted, he would have then been unable to buy any more shares. He rejected the offer, which kept him in a position to buy unlimited shares. In this case he placed an offer to buy it all. If the board members reject, they have to step down from there position as a board member. So if only one member accepts the offer and Elon buys 100% and puuting him in full control. I'd say he would fire that board member. If all reject and there are legally no board members left, Elon would still be in control by being the top shareholder...
in other words "These People Are Stupid" and Elon is holding all the balls no mattet what...
He moved too fast for them to even know what they we're getting into...
