This is why I am so glad I have a well.
They tested my water and it was near perfect.
But here is something of interest: When I had to take my dog to be cared for by my mother when I left the area for a surgery, she called and said the dog would not drink the water she gave it. My brother was living there at the time and figured out why.
The dog could smell the chemicals in the water!
They had to go buy distilled water for the dog. She then drank.
I was just thinking about the same thing with my dogs and cats. So far, I haven't noticed any issues. However, I am concerned. Guess I will be doing something about this too. Great info and thanks for sharing.
