Of course they are. How many times have you spoken about something and suddenly you're getting info about it from your social media? This happens to me all the time.
About two years ago, there was a husband and wife who were talking about floor tile and the conversation came around to one of the guys female employees. She had bought a floor a few months previous. Luck for the guy and wife that they did not say anything bad about the woman. She called him on the phone and said google sent her an email with a transcript of the whole conversation.
