Had a long out of state camping trip planned for this coming weekend, but after spending over $300 in gas on last weekend's trip we cancelled our travel plans yesterday and decided to just STAY HOME.

A little disappointed because we've had to put so much on hold the last couple years, but also a little relieved because I was getting some strong hunker down vibes and explaining "vibes" to my sweet, but sleeping hubby was gonna be a tough sell.

Thinking outside the box here...
Could this actually be the intended outcome?

Maybe it's the optimist in me talking, but perhaps the insanely high gas prices, which are causing so many to STAY AT HOME, are protecting us from what may be coming?

Could be it's important for us to be close to home?

IDK, just a thought, a gut feeling. 🤷🏼‍♀️
