Can someone hell me understand this form of math? I understand how Sea Shell arrived at 68 but how does 68=14 and 14=5?

It does. Thank you. One more question, then. How do you know where and when to break a number. For instance, in Sea Shells' example, 24 is used as a whole number but 2022 is broken in half.
now that’s a great question. I’m not good at interpreting myself, i can usually see the logic of what they explain though.
