Small, local credit unions. That's where you go. No stock holders on the boards that profit from the decisions they make. Local members determining what is best in their area. Been at a small local credit union for many, many years now...love it!

The issue is that smaller, downstream banks still utilize the upper, large stream bank systems. You can move your money but it does little to protect from or create any hardship to the big banks. At least that's how it used to be.
