1. Conquering your mind is the key to inner happiness. Why, you may ask? Put simply, many of us in life were brought up to believe that to help and give is not just a necessity but such a beautiful part of life – which of course it is, but in that lesson we sometimes forget to give to ourselves. This is not only because of what we’ve been taught, but because of our own mind too. You see, our mind has been so used to our kind deeds for others that this change of action – having even just a little thought about our own happiness – can cause a powerful reaction. It can scream, “Hey! What on earth do you think you’re doing?” At this point, most of us begin to work out what our mind is saying and then it hits us like a ton of bricks. Our heart kicks in and feels all that our mind has made us start to think.
