my dad sat in a foxhole he dug during WW2, and then got run over by a german tank (while in his foxhole), and later got shot twice in his leg in Italy fighting the nazis, and lost his leg. He was a disable veteran..
And by the way, he was only 19 years old when he lost his leg. he is now buried in a veteran's cemetery.
