I definitely don't want to worry anyone, but the south is potentially facing several days worth is winter weather next week that is similar in conditions to the blizzard of 1993.
Just make sure you have backup heat, food, etc. It's looking like it'll be perfect conditions between January 19th-24th. Obviously, nothing might happen and I might sounds like a worry wart, but since the south isn't equipped to handle blizzard conditions it could happen I don't want anyone to be unprepared. :)
The original prediction was from the 17th-22nd but it has shifted a bit.

About 6 months' worth of groceries in our pantry...
Propane stove can be brought out if necessary; plenty of charcoal for the grill...
Backups on all animal feeds.
Plenty of oil lamps, candles & board games.
We can keep perishables on the front screen porch if we lose electrics.
Snug as bugs.
We have all of the essentials.
