heres what i do...
all organic
1 cup dried elderberries (i frolic theu the eoods to find the elderberries)
i grate cinnamon sticks 1 teaspoon and i throw whats left of the stick in the pot
i gratw ginger that i grow 1 teaspoon
12 teaspoon cloves
local raw unfiltered honey for taste
i use a gallon of water n bring to a boil n smer for at least 3 hours
its potent and the house smells like feet (at least thats what my kids say lol)
i use cheese cloth to strain everything at the end (i have a lot of people around me with that condition that doesnt allow you to have seeds..some complained about finding a seed in a jar they bought..so cheese cloth works best for me)
refrigerate once cool shake well and brush your teeth afterwards bc it does stain our teeth

I sometimes add cinnamon sticks, licorice sticks, cherry bark and star anise to my elderberry syrup. It's yummy and easy.
