Interoperability
This major revision, dated 9 April 2020--
o Changes the title from Multinational Force Interoperability to Interoperability (cover).
o Updates the definition of “interoperability” (para 1–6).
o Updates interoperability levels (para 1–9).
o Adds assessment, monitoring, and evaluation guidance (para 1–12).
o Prescribes new responsibilities for the management and execution of interoperability within Headquarters,
Department of the Army (chap 2).
o Adds new primary organizations to chapter 2: Chief of Public Affairs, Chief of Chaplains, U.S. Army Futures
Command, U.S. Army Cyber Command (chap 2).
o Replaces the term “multinational force interoperability” used in the 2015 edition of AR 34–1 with the term
“interoperability” (throughout).
