That's about $3.65 a gallon. I'm gonna guess it's more in California, NY and New Jersey. I was driving in 2001, and you always filled up before crossing the state line to California.
Yes. I am in Central Coastal California -- which is not the highest by far -- just this week I paid $4.93 at one of the less expensive stations. Most of the stations here are well over $5.00/gal now, with some approaching $6.00/gal.
