My husband just got an award from his university congratulating him for 50 years of teaching, research and service. Today he got a threat that even though he teaches fully online and never goes to campus or an office, works alone at home, he will be terminated for not being jabbed and tested. A medical or religious exemption, if granted, means weekly testing, for working alone at home. This is not about a virus. Now we need an attorney to protect his pension earned over 50 years
This is so wrong, I’m so sorry! People on here have given you good information. I wish there was a better alternative, but getting a lawyer may be your best strategy now to get him exempted from testing or vaccinated. Better to fight for that now to keep his job, rather than the alternative of having to file a wrongful termination lawsuit. Stressful times indeed. Good luck, and keep us posted.
