He should have subpoena'd all those bureaucrats. And made them sit through and listen to every human tale of the real impact of their decisions.

It's not right to have administators, who have mostly never treated a real patient, sit behind their desk and dismiss things as statistics. We need to reconnect our humanity with our decisions. It is NOT acceptable to declare that it's OK to lose 1-2% as a cost unless you have explored EVERY alternative to make sure the real cost can't be reduced to say 0.1%. One would hope that, when facing the real victims (not a piece of paper on their desks) they would wake up and reconsider this agenda.

We know for a fact that their suppression of early treatment would not stand in a true and balanced decision making process. That's just the biggest example of what has gone wrong.
