Not knowing who LT is, I'll make two comments from the viewpoint of a casual observer (that would be me).
It's possible that the CHRISTIAN goes to the front of the line since so many Christians consider themselves and their religion to be the end-all, be-all of wisdom and knowledge. Oh, did I forget to mention that they also believe they have cornered the market on salvation and alone hold the secrets of how to enter the Kingdom? There. I said it.
It's possible that the other Marine, LT, is jealous of YOU as a Marine. He wouldn't want to promote you, now would he?
