🔴Barclays Bank Boss QUITS Over Links to Epstein - Shares Drop
A probe by British regulators has effectively ended a controversial six-year reign of Jes Staley at the banking giant.
Staley agreed to step down after the investigation apparently unearthed elements of his relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. He was pictured at his New York mansion in 2011, but said contact with Epstein ended in 2015 - and that he regretted it.
Barclays has claimed there are no findings to suggest Staley saw or was aware of Epstein's crimes, but shares dropped almost 3% after the announcement. Staley admitted he kept in contact with him for seven years after his 2008 conviction.
