I live about 20 miles south of Dallas in a small town. Out of the hustle and bustle but close enough to get what it offers. it really depends on what climate you prefer. Dry, west Texas, humid , Houston area or tge piney woods of east texas. The DFW area splits these down the middle.
I wouldnt live in Austin for all the money in the World.
