Banks are vulnerable to short selling as well. They short sell precious metals, and then manipulate the trading price. Follow the link & take a look at the US Debt Clock M2 price of Gold & Silver. They list the current M2, as well as the 1913 (Pre FED Reserve Act of 1913). The 1913 price is a reference point to what the price was before the manipulation from The FED.
As you can see, Silver is listed 170x more than the trading price. Gold is 17x more. No coincidences.
