Yep! Our mountain folk here in Appalachia (pronounced "apple-at-cha) have lots of home remedies they still use to this day. One of my favorite classes at college was "Appalachian Folk Medicine". We were warned that big name does not like it - so they have to claim "alleged" cures. But we know better :D
