I'll not use honey, bees don't give it to humans, humans take it, and in the process harm/kill many many bees, which is something I choose to avoid. That's just how I feel about it.
Queen honey bees have the most extended lifespan, sometimes living up to 6 years. Worker bees live for 6 weeks during the summer and can live for up to 6 months in the winter, while drones have a relatively shorter lifespan going to a maximum of 55 days
Another fun fact:
40 days is less than 6 weeks! Two more days and it would be illegal to get an abortion in Texas.
