Mental Discipline for the Digital Soldier

Military drill instructors have many goals when training new recruits. One goal is instilling mental toughness.

We're currently fighting an information war. As with any type of warfare, digital soldiers must develop and maintain the right mental attitude if they're to be victorious.

When complaining is allowed in the ranks of an army, it lowers the morale of the entire unit. For that reason, drill instructors do not tolerate whining. They demand mental toughness.

Mental toughness is the mindset that despite present perception of negative circumstances, accomplishing the mission is the top priority, the team is adequately prepared for any and all obstacles, and victory will be achieved when the team overcomes the obstacles it faces.

Your enemy is constantly evaluating your posts, and trying to develop a strategy to defeat you. Presenting a public appearance of mental toughness removes any strategic advantage they might gain ove
