& “doggles” goggles made especially to protect them
from dust & debris.
Since the beginning of the conflicts In Iraq & Afghanistan
the Dept. of Defense has spent
one million dollars training & maintaining MWDs.
First into battle.
Trained to attack, hold down & incapacitate the enemy.
U.S. Special Operations forces employ MWDs
during raids.
Fighter dogs chase down & restrain fugitives or prisoners.
They jump out of airplanes.
Seek out wounded troops
& retrieve medical help by barking
or dragging the wounded to safety.
They keep morale high.
They give soldiers a sense of companionship & belonging...
