what if the media lied today and trapped themselves what if the FDA did not approve the pfizer jab only extended the EUA today?
No need for what-ifs because they actually approved it.
The approval goes into effect for normal use, that is, two doses for individuals 16 and older.
The EUA stays in effect to cover other instances, specifically the third booster shot for some, and younger individuals starting at age 12 getting the vaccine.
The EUA is also needed so that the vaccine doses that were produced prior to the approval can continue to be used until the supply is entirely replaced by new batches properly labelled as approved.

FDA Approves First COVID-19 Vaccine | FDA
FDA approved the first COVID-19 vaccine, which has been known as the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine, and is now marketed as Comirnaty (koe-mir’-na-tee), for the prevention of COVID-19 disease in individuals 16 years of age and older.

That changes nothing about the statement that the FDA approved the vaccine. What you're saying remains wrong.
The media didn't lie and the FDA didn't "only extent the EUA".
