Absolutely correct!! As an RN for 32 years I have seen & read multiple informed consents prior to having a procedure of any kind or surgery performed. You must sign an informed consent even prior to having a CT scan or MRI or x-ray. These are procedures. They can be lengthy but spell out everything & you must read them & asks questions! Most don't read them & just initial where they say to initial & sign. They (the docs & nurses) are to explain what's in those informed consents. Think of all the paperwork you have to sign when admitted to a hospital. Now, to not provide an informed consent prior to a vax, which is just like getting a procedure, is malpractice, not just for the docs but nurses as well who witness or sign these documents!!!!!
