PCR and Quick Test swabs are sterilized with the carcinogen Ethylene Oxide. According to the Government of Canada, as well as the “ What do They Know ” the PCR test swabs are sterilized by ethylene oxide which is described by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as a carcinogen.
