I have the same issue with foreign languages spoken at natural speeds. Can only understand when they speak slowly. Are the longer eye closes the breaks between letters?

Always look for eyes wide open before rapid blinking and you will know it is comms.
Kash is a master, most people couldn't blink like that for that long let alone in code.
