Ok, so I started digging into Walgreens last night. Their co-COO just stepped down in April of this year. The other co-COO is now the full COO, and it just so happens that her "life partner" is also the CEO of Walgreens, following the merger of Walgreens and Boots Alliance in 2014. These two seem to buy/sell stock from each other, swapping assets without the hassles of the spousal property legalities that Gates and Bezos have. It is all very convenient. So much so that it stinks.
