A week before McAfee's death from Spanish Jail ???

The antivirus programmer and businessman John David McAfee testified on Tuesday before the National Court of Madrid via video link from the prison where he is interred, in Catalonia.

McAfee has claimed to be a politically persecuted person for announcing his intention "to publish and expose the corruption of the US Tax Agency,” and stated that if he is extradited to the US he "will spend the rest of his life in prison.”

The Spanish Prosecutor’s Office demands that he be handed over to the United States for charges of tax crimes. A judge is due to decide on the extradition request in coming days.

The British-American computer programmer, on whom an Interpol search and arrest warrant hung, was detained in October at Barcelona airport and placed into custody in a Catalan jail, awaiting extradition to the United States, where he is accused of tax fraud.
