There have been,
maybe there HAVE to be (?),
irksome times for our offspring wrt us,
whom I renamed "the Maid + Butler" during the worst of it: they were calling us "the 'rents"
when they thought of us @ all.

My husband + I met @ an outdoor "Hippie" church that passed a KFC bucket twice @ services: 1st for drugs; later for $. To parent, we AGREED❌2B like our mean, sick parents + ALWAYS USE Biblical standards as THE ultimate
authority.

Its❌ been a picnic. We agreed❌to use substances while raising the kids. I've MADE each member➡️THERAPY @ some point: SKILLFUL ethical consultants are RARE.
I ended⬆️a triple Board certified psychiatrist, w/ a Masters, in Health Evaluation Sciences, while hubby kinda did a "Pinnochio"/ "Peter Pan" developmental-avoidance track: fun stuff on my dime, but dissing me. ("why?!"). Its now BEEN 20 yrs of letting OUR grown kids UNPACK/ DISCLOSE WHAT it was like 2B EACH of THEM w/o basically any excuse-making. (I'm still w/ Pinnochio)
