My dad was a rare man of honor, courage, extreme humility, and extreme confidence. His guard was down, his heart was open, and he had a peaceful warrior resolve to stand up for what’s right. I live my life in honor of him. He was killed suddenly in a logging accident last year at 56.
You never know when someone you love will be killed, so let your guard down and show them your love now. I will forever be thankful for a powerful lesson I learned in 2019 that taught me to live like I was dying. Through a heartbreak I learned how my heart had been holding things back from those I loved including my dad. That year I treated him and others like I might never get to talk to them again. Months later my dad was taken from me, and I am so so grateful that there’s not a single thing I held back from telling him. Even if you did not have the same fortune with your loved one, know that they know your heart more than ever now that they’ve passed on to the next level.
