Happy to see you stood up for your legal rights. You are very well versed in the law of the situation you encountered. It is so funny how people assume that if you do not have a law degree you do not know shit about the law. It is called read the codes and statutes for the issues you wish to address.
My entire family are judges and lawyers. They told me years ago it is not so much about knowing what the law is as they must research it too but more about the art of debate in the courtroom. It is the debate that wins the case as the research of the law is thrown in for the meat of the debate. Granted some know specific codes due to the type of practice that caters specifically to certain clients. Like redundancy, you do the same cases enough times you can recite the codes forward and backwards.
