Most people have never expierianced war and the horrors that go with it. Bullets whizzing by your ears , mortars or hand held missiles exploding abd killing people only yards away. Having people blown into pieces only yards away in combat. I pray we never have this occur in Our Nation ,but, its heading that way.

I lived in Europe once. My father's friend from WWII lived in the same place. When my father visited, the two of them took me on their WWII journey. Very powerful. We also visited two Germans they actually fought against to discuss that war. A week before I left Europe, I was a block away from the city center with a friend and her baby. A bomb went off in the center. No way does it come close to your experience, however, it was quite surreal. We watched glass from 13th century buildings drop before us. We left immediately and safely. It did give me a sense of what military endure day and night. Albeit, I was not their to defend and fight.

for if those days were not cut short ,then no man would be saved
