The masks worn by DOCTORS IN A STERILE ENVIRONMENT -EXIST- TO PREVENT THE DOCTOR FROM EXPELLING INTO THE STERILE ENVIRONMENT..... IT IS NOT USED TO PREVENT HIM FROM CATCHING A VIRUS.
