My dad had rashes like this and so did a friend with leukemia. My Dad had MDS which is bone marrow failure. His bones no longer created the components of blood. His platelet count ironically always went up when he ate fresh pineapple. Your friend may want to try that. I pray that your friend will be OK. Sending love.

PRAYING for your friend. It's called a petechial rash. His immune system is attacking the spleen which is integral for platelet formation. There is NO medical term for the complete absence of platelets bc, prior to these biowe@pons, it never occurred before.
This is so tragic. I will pray for him.
