My grocery shopper arrived a couple of days ago and I handed her a few dollars extra as a tip.
I looked up, and tears were streaming down her face. In that moment I felt the pain she was in.
For a moment we both forgot about covid, and I reached for her, and we stood there strangers in the parking lot holding each other. She promised me she would go straight to someone she trusts and I told her I will be praying. We never discussed the source of her pain, we didn't need to.
