I hope they were all saved, but unfortunately it is more likely that a decision had to be taken that no more were likely to be saved and the risk of trying to save any more was too great to contemplate in view of the booby traps likely to have been set. Sometimes military reality has to be faced in any hostage situation. We probably won’t ever be told the detail, but there are always casualties in war. Saving Private Ryan was good Hollywood, but military nonsense!
