unfortunately we discovered while travelling last week that many of those states still have businesses requiring masks. Basically every place we stopped required it for entry.

Just because they have a sign doesn't mean we have to wear it. It is not legal or healthy. Doing my best to set a good example without ridiculing anyone that chooses to wear the mask. I have noticed, by not wearing a mask, others take theirs off.
We are also creatures of habit, this is one habit that will be easy to break. We were shamed into wearing them if we were to be in public. Most of us allowed it. If the state doesn't enforce it, the people don't abide by it then the businesses stand to lose customers if they enforce the wearing of mask. The control is back to the people.

you are correct and i do the same - remove it and others follow however i ran into some places that wouldnt allow us in without putting a mask on and even wanted our little kids to wear them. when i questioned it they said they could require it because they were a private business so we said we would tale are business elsewhere.
