I can pretty much guess you aren't a Christian and you haven't met Christ in a personal way - or you wouldn't bring the Bible up as a way to deceive people. Have you actually read the Bible, front to back? There is a lot in there, maybe it would help you understand the Bible is not about deceiving, it's about saving.

And no, I do not think - ever - that Christ, the Bible, Christianity, salvation or anything else along those lines are deceiving people. I think it is the ROCK we all stand on, pointing to truth, honestly, courage and encouragement to keep going on even when things look their dimmest. That's not deception, that's eternal love showing through.

i dont have a religion...i believe in god....ive read the bible and theres lots of contradictions and similiar stories from other parts of the world dated to older civilizations...or so they say. The closest we have could be very off from the truth so that doesnt hold much weight to me.....sometimes i think of uncontaced tribes out there who never heard of the bible or books for that matter....are they doomed to hell? Are they worse off then me who has access to any book known yet doesnt know which is correct? Does the pope not deceive quoting from your sacred book? How long has that been going on? Enjoy your religion and the rock you stand on i not trying to knock you off it.

The rock I stand on is Christ - no other, all else is 'sinking sand'. That is scripture. My rock, my salvation, my hope, my LOVE and LIFE and all that I am is nothing more than Christ living in me. So no matter what happens, I will always have that. It is something no one can ever take away. And it brings the greatest joy, you can't even imagine how wonderful it is.

It sounds like you are searching for something. I hope you find it. Go back, read the Bible again, read the New Testament books. You may find what you're seeking. It doesn't hurt to utterly cry out to God either - in anger, frustration, confusion, or whatever you're feeling. He will speak to you, if you let your heart listen.

I have research that and more. Israel has many books, MANY books, that are not included in the Bible but back what the Bible says and more.

Everything you really need to know is in the Bible, the rest are mostly just extra history. I'm not saying books were kept out, but it would not be practical to have even more books in there that simply repeat what the Bible already says...

There are 66 books in the Bible...no more, no less. Interesting number, isn't it?
