I have tried! I went through 7 accts with various email addresses and google phone numbers. If you find a way, let me know, please! I can still search for people and read their posts, but I cannot re-establish any accts there.
Create the account from another computer at another location. Create a new e-mail for it. Their algorithms changed and they are matching ip addresses when it's created. You can use a similar name but it must be slightly different. I had to do a FB account from a library computer for that reason.

If you had your phone connected to your other account that you lost, it might not work. If the phone is not on your network, wifi then maybe that would work. I had to set it up without the phone attached to the account.
