something i can't understand about the Mars colonization thing...If we did totally destroy this planet and turn it into a dustbowl with no atmosphere, no trees, no water etc. Why would we have to travel all the way to Mars? Why couldn't we just implement all of our Mars colonization protocols right here? We could begin saving seeds and water and vegitation now. There are many unpopulated places on earth where we could begin building our base camps etc and growing our food in climate controlled airtight green houses so when the end of earth as we know it occurs, we'll be ready. And all of the supplies we need are literally here, we dont have to fly them up to Mars on space ships... something doesn't jive about the whole narrative
