Just speculation, no sauce. Ingersoll Lockwood was 15 years older that Tesla. They were contemporaries when living in NY. Somewhere I read they knew each other (lived on the same street). Farfetched but if Tesla knew the Trumps and if you weave Lockwood into the picture it would at least make an interesting story. Where did Ingersoll's Little Baron Trump come from?
