http://MolonLabe.US took our show on the road for the first time this weekend at a South Alabama Gun Show and here are some of my take-aways.
The gun market and ownership in this area is very alive and well (it is 'Bama after all). There were over 230 weapon vendors alone with LOTS and LOTS of weapons being sold - all following proper background checks and guidelines.
Ammo is expensive and only going up. All the ammo vendors say they can still get it, although its rolling out a little slower than normal but it is available - 9mm is still America's favorite ammo.
Based on my conversations with a lot of the vendors post-show, they sold almost everything they had in the way of weapons and ammo. There was just over 3,800 people that attended the show and most of the buyers communicated that they had greater concerns from what was happening in D.C. than they did of what was happening in their own neighborhood or the city.
