I'm told by a family member that the only thing this kind of rhetoric does is piss people off in that if you already know, you'll get it and think it's great, but if you don't already know, it won't have any effect other than "strife" - true enough.
strife: angry or bitter disagreement over fundamental issues;
conflict.
