Critical thinking exercise this morning. Listening to an interview from years ago with cognitive scientist Noam Chomsky, there was an excellent lesson that seems to be lost in our society today.
Here is a quote we should all remember....

“If you believe in freedom of speech, you believe in freedom of speech for views you don’t like. Goebbels was in favor of free speech for views he liked. So was Stalin.

If you’re really in favor of free speech, then you’re in favor of freedom of speech for precisely the views you despise. Otherwise, you’re not in favor of free speech.”
