How was it? I lived there for 20 years.
It was a little sad. Covid has taken its toll for sure. The only time ive ever seen it slower was after Katrina. The market had about half the vendors and the streets were not nearly as crowded as usual. You can see it slowly coming back but if you know the city well you can see the difference. Many businesses permanently closed. I did not go out at night since my son is 11 so not sure how the night life looked. Regardless it was good to be back. Im in Jackson so Im a frequenter and have missed it so. No place on earth like it.
