Just after 7:30am this morning, SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket into space carrying 60 Starlink satellites.

By the time we see it over the Carolinas, the rocket is nearly 90 miles up. On the ground it is dark but at that altitude, the sun is up so it illuminates the exhaust plume perfectly producing a vivid and at times, colorful contrail.
