(4 winter cold fronts within one week)! Prayers for everyone without electric and/or water! It's time for the people of Texas to speak up about [their] ugly useless windmills and solar panels! What happened to the sweet deal Texas had with Mexico for their surplus hydro power? They used to sell a LOT to Texas, which helped Mexico out a lot.
Mexico generates a lot of their power via 2 lakes at different altitudes. What falls thru the turbines during the day fills the lower lake. At night, it is pumped back up to the top for rinse & repeat.
Wind turbines function just FINE in Siberia at -65F... This is the result of lack of care, grab-the-money-fuck-the-infrastructure management.
